Tunnel Vision

This is my view day in and day out.  Some seasons the tunnel is bigger with more plants and some seasons it's this view. This tunnel is a view of growing my own food for my family. Teaching them how they can be self sufficient. There are times what we sow doesn't always give us an abundance. We move on and figure out how to provide food other wise. Ever since I am able to remember, we have always had a garden. We planted, we weeded, we harvested. We were Farmers. Tunnel vision is a perfect view in my eyes, but for some it's too much work. For me, on the other hand, it's food for life. Some think my family is crazy and weird for how we garden and how we do it. Yes, we are organic, yes we are all natural, yes we are GMO free. That's the way we want to be. God intended us to be fed from the dirt of the Earth. Our grandparents never had to say "I'm eating ORGANIC" they said "I'm eating REAL food." I pray our society comes to realize that there were less diseases, less cancer and less people were sick when they ate REAL FOOD. So next time someone criticizes my tunnel vision I will just have to say "I'm not here to please. I'm here to feed my family what we were meant to eat. "

Exodus 23:10-11
For six years you are to sow your fields and harvest the crops, 11 but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may eat what is left. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.
